Most of my drawings include varied thickness and value of lines. It makes the image more interesting to look at because it is less predictable. But it is important to learn to vary the thickness and darkness of your drawing lines with intentionality and meaning. This can be a great tool for describing motion, energy, time and differences of materials you are trying to represent in a drawing. It can also help to show the illusion of depth in your drawings.
