Book Review: Colored Pencil Painting Bible

The book, Colored Pencil Painting Bible by Alyona Nickelsen, is a great resource for color pencil enthusiasts and I highly recommend it if you're purchasing Prismacolors, Caran D'Ache or Derwent colored pencils. It will give you advice on layering pencil and blending it so you can create custom colors. The book elaborates on what materials are in colored pencils and how the materials react together, to the paper and over time. It also takes you step-by-step through a handful of projects, if you wish for more how-to instruction. This is a great essential how-to-draw book for anyone looking to start with colored pencils.

Put this on your gift list, it's worth the expense!

Here is a link for it on Amazon for those in the US. You might be able to find it elsewhere, locally.
