LZM Studio Founder Story (Part 5 of 22)

Part 5 of 22: The idea that drawing is something you're either born with or not isn't really the whole picture, however.

Remember that feedback loop (practice, praise, problem solving, practice, praise, problem solving)? That is what mastery is. Its a series of working steps followed by small wins. Repeat until you're cross-eyed. So while I figured some things about drawing out as a youngster, that was not enough to build a successful drawing or teaching career. The rest? Working at this harder than anything else I've ever worked with. I would like to guide you, so you don't have to figure it all out yourself like I did! There aren't a ton of shortcuts to your growth, but being able to intellectually understand where you are & what you need to do to fill the gap? That is my biggest gift I give to students. You will have to put in the work to get your hand to make the moves you want it to make. But I can definitely impart the knowledge so you know what you're aiming for with each new drawing!
