Part 19 of 22: If you'd like to see what kind of results you can expect as one of my drawing students, I'm glad you're here! One of my favorite things to share is how much drawing progress people can make in such a short amount of time. I love bursting the myth that drawing is something you've got or not. It is teachable. LZM Studio Founder Story (Part 16 of 22)

Part 16 of 22: In the LZM Studio Drawing Method I lay out all the tricks I had to teach myself & put together to make sure my students would also learn & grow. No stone is left unturned, & when you're done you will have a broad exposure to drawing fundamentals. I teach about the materials you need, your body posture, how to combine seeing, perception, thinking about 3D space & the tricks you need to flatten that onto the drawing paper. You'll also get into the nittygritty details that really make a drawing sing with realism. The only thing that will be left for you to do is practice, practice, practice until the material I teach you is second nature.

Part 15 of 22: Teaching kids was the breakthrough I needed as a new teacher. Since no one really taught me drawing in art school, I had to learn how to teach it as a graduate student. But those students were in art school already, so they had some natural aptitude. When I started teaching kids, they would literally melt down if they didn't understand something I was showing them! So I had to show them, verbally explain what I was doing, & encourage them to try even if they failed. I'll never forget the time a 6 year old struggled to draw something 4-5 times & when they finally got it right, leaned over & kissed me on the shoulder in joy!
